SPAC-ADN Webinar 1: Bangladesh after the 2024 Elections: Future Directions and Impacts on Society

We are pleased to inform you about an upcoming collaboration between the Asia Democracy Network and the Sydney Policy Analysis Centre (SPAC). Together, we are organizing a series of bi-monthly webinars focusing on Bangladesh. These webinars will explore a range of crucial topics, including politics, economy, democracy, human rights, and foreign policy within Bangladesh.

We extend our cordial invitation to you to join us for the inaugural webinar of this series, titled “Bangladesh after the 2024 Elections: Future Directions and Impacts on Society.”

The webinar is scheduled on April 5, at 1200 GMT. It will be a 75-minute session.

Speakers include:

  • Jami Spykerman, Program Director, National Democratic Institute (NDI), Washington DC
  • Geoffrey Macdonald, Senior Program Adviser, International Republic Institute (IRI), Washington DC
  • Smruti S Pattanaik, Research Fellow at The Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) in New Delhi

The webinar will be moderated by Mubashar Hasan, Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oslo, Norway, who is also the Executive Director of SPAC. Ichal Supriadi, Secretary General of the Asia Democracy Network, will deliver the opening remarks.
